To Embody Music

To Embody Music is a series of three filmed performance documentations in which flutist Dominyka Šeibok explores what happens when classical music is no longer confined to sound alone. Each piece brings together flute, body, and theatrical expression into a single artistic language - one that treats movement and facial expression not as accompaniment, but as music itself.

The project presents three distinct works: an interpretation of Debussy's Syrinx, performed without the instrument; a free improvisation for flute and environment, filmed in an industrial railway hangar in Vilnius; and a theatrical arrangement of Schubert's Ständchen for flute, piano, and percussion.

To Embody Music was produced under the interdisciplinary music platform Five Skins and supported by the Lithuanian Council for Culture and the Lithuanian Composers' Union. The project was filmed at Bėgių Parkas in Vilnius in June 2026.
